Review: The Specialty Coffee Book, New South Wales

Happy International Coffee Day! In celebration of this wonderful occasion, we've gotten our hands on The Specialty Coffee Book from one of the best areas for coffee in the world--Sydney, Australia and its surrounds.

Produced by Smudge Eats, known for unique insights into Australian cafe, restaurant and bar culture, this beautiful book shows the essence of New South Wales' beloved cafes. Through gorgeous photographs and a clever structure--I'm ever so slightly addicted to the barista profiles--The Specialty Coffee Book, NSW is a coffee table book that you'll read from cover to cover.

Many of our favorite coffee shops are included like Pablo and Rusty's (Sydney, highlighted in last year's International Coffee Day post), one of our secret finds, Anvil Coffee Co. (Kirribilli, just across the Harbour Bridge) as well as Barefoot Brew Room (Byron Bay) which might be the coolest place on the list as they made me a perfect double latte well after they had closed on a Sunday. But many more are on our list to try. In fact, we're headed up north this weekend and planning our trip around a stop at Good Brother Espresso (Newcastle).

This will be my go to Christmas gift this year and it should be yours too. It's impressive, unique and simply a gorgeous book.
