Fodor's Top Hotels 2011

Fodor's just announced its Hotel Awards for 2011 featuring 100 properties around the world.  We especially love the categories, like Clubby Atmosphere and Casual Chic, making it easy to find a hotel that suits your specific tastes. Plus, we were thrilled to see some of our favorite hotels make the list.

21c Museum Hotel, Louisville, Kentucky
One of the top "Clubby Atmosphere" hotels, we love the art throughout the hotel, the great location and fabulous restaurant and bar, Proof on Main, right in the hotel.

Great concept (an affordable design hotel), awesome amenities (king-size beds, free wi-fi, public iMacs) and thoughtful details (comfortable lobby, convenient cantina).

Villa d'Este, Lake Como, Italy
It's difficult to think of a better way to spend an afternoon than on the shore of Lake Como, sipping a Campari at the impeccable Villa d'Este. And if you are short on time, it's an easy day trip from Milan.

Between the setting, size and service, this hotel has it all and should be a mandatory stop for anyone visiting India, even if only for dinner at one of the wonderful on-site restaurants.
