Beer from the Land Down Under - Little Creatures Brewery, Western Australia

If you find yourself in WA (that's Western Australia), plan a stop at Little Creatures, our favorite Australian microbrewery. 

Nothing quite hits the spot on a hot summer day like a cold beer. So when we recently passed through Fremantle, a short drive from booming Perth, Australia, we headed over to Little Creatures. We were looking for a great beer (and found it), but also discovered good pub food, like wood-fired pizzas, and a stylish place to spend some time.

First and foremost, the folks behind Little Creatures make some seriously good beer. On the lighter side, as Australian microbrews tend to be, they offer a fantastic pilsner and a light (from an alcohol content perspective, 3.8%) amber ale. A new hard cider trend has recently surged in Australia so you can also grab a Pipsqueak apple or pear cider, but my favorite of the lot is Little Creatures Pale Ale which is a bit heavier but offers loads of flavor.

Come for a beer, take a tour, stay for lunch, enjoy the views over the harbor and grab a six-pack for home.
