Photo Journal of Vietnam - Day 3 in Ho Chi Minh City

Quick flight down to Ho Chi Minh City where we met up with friends and went out on the town.

First stop, lunch. Banh Xeo might look familiar if you are an Anthony Bourdain fan.
The dish the place is named after, Banh Xeo, is a pancake filled with shrimp, pork, onions, mung beans and bean sprouts.
Another dish from Banh Xeo in which these meat rolls are placed in lettuce leaves and dipped in sauce.
The sea of scooters, always ready to accelerate, in Ho Chi Minh's District 1.
A perfect accompaniment to Vietnamese "bia" or beer, seaweed-flavored Pringle's.

Fire coconut prawns at Le Marina Seafood restaurant.

After dinner, drinks on the 23rd floor rooftop lounge at Shri (72-74 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, District 3, 08 3827 9631, rsvp@shri.vn) were a perfect end to a busy day.

More on the food of Vietnam...
